Terrific book! Easy to read, and very useful. Hits all the major spots, with all sorts of practical insight. Definitely recommend!
This book is very practical. There is generic information that is usable for visiting any area of Japan, although specific site in Tokyo are it's highlights. A pronounceable glossary is included of phrases that may be usable by wheelchair bound visitors is terrific. Bathroom accessibility, wheelchair challenges are particularly appreciated.I certainly wish Josh would write a companion book for Kyoto.I highly recommend this fact filled, easy to read Accessible Japan's Tokyo.
This book was an indispensable guide for us as a family traveling to Japan for the first time with a wheelchair user. We felt prepared to use the metro, JR trains and bullet train and were prepared for what accessible restaurant options might be. It was a great trip for us and this book put us at ease. Josh was also kind enough to correspond with us through email to help us ahead of our trip.
I wish this book had existed 15 years ago. Organizing visits with my mother was always a challenge.(Much of the information is also useful for parents with small children in strollers.)
A great way to work your way around Tokyo with a mobility problem. Thanks Josh.
